About Farshad Sarmad
Experience
Dr. Farshad Sarmad is a lawyer, educator, and business professional with a multidisciplinary background in law, business consulting, and strategic management.
Farshad is currently an Associate at Lindsay Kenney LLP, where he practices in the firm's litigation group, focusing primarily on commercial and business disputes. Before transitioning to litigation, his legal practice concentrated on corporate and commercial law, real estate, and financing transactions. His experience in both business and transactional law provides a valuable foundation for understanding the commercial and practical dimensions of legal disputes.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Farshad accumulated over 15 years of experience in business consulting, new product development, and strategic management.
Farshad holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, an MBA in Global Management, a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in International Management, and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LL.B.) from Queen Mary University of London.
Alongside his legal career, Farshad has taught at various universities in Vancouver, Canada, since 2012. His teaching areas include business law, consulting practice, new product development, international business, strategic management, organizational behaviour, and ethics. He has authored five peer-reviewed publications, including a chapter in Managerial Economics: Economic Tools for Today’s Decision Makers by Keat et al., Pearson Prentice Hall (7th Edition, 2013).
Farshad is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
